Puzzle Pact

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 14, 2026
These terms describe the rules for using Puzzle Pact. Please read them before creating an account or using competition features.

Using Puzzle Pact

Puzzle Pact offers daily puzzles and optional accounts for friendly competitions. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account. You must be legally able to agree to these terms; where local law requires a parent or guardian’s involvement, that requirement still applies.
Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices. These terms do not replace consent or additional protections required by privacy law.

Your account

Use an email address you control and keep sign-in information private. Choose an appropriate username, do not impersonate others, and tell support if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may stop using the service at any time. To request account deletion or help, email support@puzzlepact.com. Support may need to verify ownership and discuss groups you administer before completing the request.

Fair play and competitions

Follow the rules displayed for each game. Do not manipulate times, results, or rankings, exploit bugs for an advantage, or use automation to submit competitive results. Assistance may make a result ineligible for ranking even when its time remains visible. Practice play does not replace an original competition result.
Competitions are for fun, not cash prizes. Administrators can manage membership, selected games, names, and standings, including resets. Be considerate when making changes that affect members. We may correct errors or exclude manipulated results.

Invitations and acceptable behaviour

Invite only people who have agreed to receive an invitation from you. Do not send spam or use invitations, usernames, or group names to harass others, disclose private information, or distribute unlawful content. Shared group links can be forwarded; choose carefully where to share them.
Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, or bypass security controls. Report security concerns privately to support@puzzlepact.com.

Puzzles and content

You may play for personal, non-commercial enjoyment and share your own results. Puzzle Pact and its licensors retain rights in the app, branding, and puzzle content. Third-party materials remain subject to their applicable licences, listed on our Licences & credits page.
Puzzle Pact is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The New York Times or other puzzle publishers.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Puzzle Pact available and results accurate, but outages, software errors, and interruptions can occur. Features may change or be discontinued. Anonymous progress depends on device storage and may be lost if it is cleared.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, or violations of these terms. Contact support if you believe a restriction or result is incorrect.

Your legal rights

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer protections.

Updates and questions

We will update the date on this page when these terms change. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or seek agreement where required. Questions or complaints can be sent to Puzzle Pact at support@puzzlepact.com.
